Scar Release Therapy (SRT)
For Scar Release Therapy we use the same Health Canada approved microcurrent device as MPS treatments. The only difference is that we don’t target specific treatment points; we treat the actual scar/trauma area! The results are phenomenal!!
When the body's tissues are lost or damaged it must repair itself, resulting in Scars! Scars come from cuts, surgeries, injuries, burns, acne, infections and traumas. Our body's natural way of healing is by creating a matrix of jumbled up fibers to create strength. The fascial system of our body is very complex. It allows us to move smoothly, but also keeps our design and shape. Envision our body covered in a nylon suit (fascia), when the nylon is cut the edges roll away from one another and to repair the nylon we mend it by using glue or a stitch. This area is no longer smooth and congruent with the rest of the body fascia (nylon). There will be texture and appearance changes. The scar formation may be lumpy, ropey, flat, thick, knotted, tight, sunken, raised or colored. The scar can cause pain and tightness as it may "pull on" or anchor to surrounding fascia/tissues. This may cause pain or dysfunction local to the scar or trauma area or it could be the source for distant pain or dysfunction. 90% OF SCARS AND TRAUMAS AREAS ARE DIRECTLY RELATED TO DISTAL CHRONIC PAIN. In fact, 67.5% of C-section scars in women cause upper body ailments (shoulder or upper back pain, headaches, tension), chronic pain or low back pain and 40% of women with C-section scars will have scar pain or numbness. Over time, injuries, traumas, and scars accumulate and expand as they pull on the fascial system, making it increasingly difficult to move as we age. Treating all bodily scars and trauma areas with SRT will have a 73% systemic improvement on pain throughout the body by reversing the scar polarity. SRT also improves systemic fascial release, fibrous tissue density, cellular metabolism, the appearance and size of the scar, stress on the body and of course functional outcomes! Scar Release Therapy is a painless, non-invasive treatment using microcurrent and massage. With amazing results of 82% improvement in one session, only a few sessions are needed to obtain lasting results. Hours and Price List.
